Why Italy?

Italy is known for its romantic settings. For most, visiting Italy is a top 5 bucket list entry and we’d love to convince you to go, so you can cross this one off your list!

Italy has so much to offer: ancient ruins, spectacular cities, mountains, beautiful beaches, museums and cathedrals, and its rich cultural treasures and hidden secrets. AND...the foods!

Italy is a very safe place in which to travel and the Italians are quite welcoming and hospitable. Plus, it is inexpensive and your dollars will go further in providing you and your gusts with the ultimate destination experience. Much more than you can buy in the USA or any other high-tourist locations. Italy is a dream, but very much an attainable one. So, Andiamo! (Let’s go!)

Legalities of a Marriage in Italy

As you may guess, there is quite a bit of legal red tape involved with this process. Often, couples will need to apply months in advance and make a trip to the region to meet with and be interviewed by officials in advance. Weddings in an Italian church require that you be Catholic, that you provide letters from your home church parish and again several pre-visits, extra fees, documents and legality issues.

For this reason, we suggest that you acquire a marriage license in your home state. Have a private civil ceremony or exchange religious vows with your pastor just prior to leaving for Italy. The ceremony in Italy will be symbolic only.

We can arrange to schedule a wedding minister for you stateside and will also provide one for the symbolic ceremony in Italy.

Best Months for Events in Southern Italy?

There really is no bad time to visit Italy! That said...the best months for pricing, weather and to avoid the crowded European vacation season, are from May to mid-June and late-August through mid-October. However, you are not limited to these time frames.
